Ptarmagin
This bird is a Willow Ptarmagin and also Alaska's state bird. I found a flock of them along side the road in Denali NP eating what they could find. It was late August and a cold fall day. This particular bird was all about the fluff!
Polychrome Pass Denali
Only a ride in the camper bus, bike ride, or a hike will get you to the Polychrome Pass lookout in Denali NP. No private vehicles are allowed to drive this far into the park. An overnight snow to the mountains added to the already beautiful scene.
Curves in the Road
Near Savage River campground in Denali NP the road curves in such a way to offer a beautiful view of the river valley. It is full on fall the day this was captured on September 6, 2021.
